Who doesn’t love a Peruvian restaurant? Big fresh flavours, bright colours and creative combinations, it’s high on my list on favourite cuisines. A huge fan of Covent Garden’s Lima Floral since it opened, I was more than happy to drop by and sample a brand new dish, created with saving the Amazon in mind.
As the weather (sort of) gets warmer, it’s always nice to lighten up at meal times and embrace some lovely fresh ingredients. This is a simple but effective recipe that reminds me of a gorgeous holiday in Thailand where we ate fresh fish on the beach as much as possible. This isn’t strictly authentic but definitely brings it all back.
When I realised a few months back that I had 10 days holiday to use up between January and April, winter sun was the obvious answer. But where to go? Where is hot in March? Turns out the best options are Dubai (doesn’t really appeal), Egypt (lovely but been before) and The Gambia… Well, why not?After fielding my mum’s concerns about Ebola (they haven’t had any cases at all) we went for it, not really knowing what to expect. After a quick eyeball scan on arrival at Banjul airport, on we went to our hotel.
